Education is one of the main objectives pursued by Africam Safari. Below is the answer to the people who are unaware of the zoos’ educational side.
Each year Africam Safari is visited by a million people. At some time of their visit, they have the chance to share their concerns, opinions, and interests with a member of our staff and by participating in our educational programs.
Education for Preservation is the base on which Africam Safari develops its educational programs. Its goal is to expose every participant to the situation faced by ecosystems and, therefore, its components (flora and fauna). However, our job is not complete until we teach participants the actions they can take to change this situation.

Africam Safari’s educational work goes beyond its geographical boundaries.
In addition to working with visitors, we have developed specific training programs for teachers, all-level students, minority groups, and semirural communities located near our territory. We bring together every individual working at Africam in different educational programs. We offer technical support to environmental educators from other institutions in Mexico and Latin America and take part in preservation programs about priority species.
The staff in charge of achieving this objective is made up of over 25 different professionals, such as biologists, botanists, vets, bachelors of tourism, administrators, bachelors of education, psychologists, and public relations specialists. This is a multidisciplinary team that interprets the nature’s messages for our public.
