Amphibians, such as frogs, toads, salamanders and caecilians are very important for humans. As they feed on insects, amphibians help control plagues that cause diseases and, thanks to their permeable and sensitive skin, they can also indicate climate changes that can affect people in the long run.

At present, amphibians are facing the most important extinction crisis in the world.

 

LThe main cause is the destruction or alteration of their natural habitat, caused mainly by de-forestation, fires and water pollution.
